Chimichurri sauce for the uninitiated is a South American condiment that contains garlic, cilantro, oil, vinegar, parsley and some form of heat courtesy of either a jalapeno or red pepper flakes. It adds a nice acid to a dish as well as fresh herbs. How is it in rice? I thought it was quite nice. For $2.99 it wasn’t a bad deal.
The Pros: Super flavorful rice with a slight heat to it. A nice break from fried or plain rice. It does taste like chimichurri is mixed right in.
The Cons: If you don’t like the taste of cilantro, you’re going to want to pass on this.
The Verdict: I’ll buy this again. It’s a great side or if you add a protein to this it can pass as a meal.

I’ll be buying this one again. It was flavorful without being overly salty. It was a different way of incorporating veggies into rice that gave me a break from fried rice or just plain rice.
