The pros:  Trader Joe's Arancini Bites are ooey and gooey cheesy rice balls that have a molten chunk of cheese waiting for you if cooked correctly. Ready in under 15 minutes. This is one of my go to items if I need a quick side, appetizer or I'm just too lazy to make dinner.

The cons:   No microwave allowed on this one.

The verdict: Trader Joe's Arancini Bites are one of the staples in my freezer. For $3.49 I can't imagine going through the aggravation of making these yourself. Regular sized rice balls have beef and peas in them, but since these are miniature those items were omitted due to size.

Here is the visual rundown of what you can expect if you purchase this item. My final thoughts of this product are below the pictures.

This is a perennial favorite in my household. It doesn't makes sense to even attempt to make these. There is plenty of cheese squeezed into the middle. The cheese is super stringy and melty if cooked for the appropriate amount of time. There are hints of lemon and pepper than come through in the rice filling. The breading was crisp without being overly greasy. I highly recommend trying these if you haven't already.

I heard some sad news at my local Trader Joe's that these have been discontinued. I can't find any official word on it, but if it's true, I am a very unhappy camper.

I went today specifically looking for them (took the bus & everything).
No one had a clue. I was VERY disappointed to learn they've been discontinued. Never thought to check 1st. Lesson learned-- the hard way
